Through our Disadvantage to Advantage (D2A!) Initiative, we are supporting children who are disadvantaged but also bright, gifted or talented to achieve their potentials. These are the children who have been assessed by our social workers and have been adopted into the programme.

Peace
Peace is a 9 year old girl from Edo state, who lives with her parents and three siblings in Ajegunle, Lagos. They live in a rented one-room accommodation, on the notorious Dustbin Estate, and share amenities such as toilet, bathroom and kitchen with their neighbours. Despite the environment, she’s resilient, and doesn’t fall ill often.
Peace is an intelligent child, and top in her primary 4 class. Her favourite subjects are English Language and Mathematics. She wants to be a banker when she grows up. Her hobbies are teaching, dancing and reading. She enjoys teaching her friends during the holidays!
Her father works as a Mason, while her mother sells recharge cards. Even with their combined income, they often do not have enough to cater for the basic needs of their children. Peace’s education is now at risk. Please sponsor her through Fair Life Africa Foundation to continue her education and thrive!
Ngozi
Ngozi is an 11 year old girl from Anambra state. She lives at Ajegunle, Lagos, with her parents and four siblings. They live in a rented one-room accommodation, in the notorious Dustbin Estate, and share amenities, such as toilet, bathroom and kitchen, with their neighbours. Despite these conditions, she’s often in good health.
Ngozi is intelligent and smart, and loves attending school. She completed her primary school education (top in her class), and is looking forward to commencing secondary level. Her favourite subjects are English Language and Social Studies. She wants to be a Business woman when she grows up. She loves singing and reading.
Her father works as a Driver, while her mother sells second-hand clothes. The family is managing their limited resources, and three of Ngozi’s siblings have already completed their secondary education, but there are no funds to further their study. Please sponsor Ngozi to complete her studies and achieve her potential.
Precious
Precious is a 13 year old girl from Abia State. She lives in Ajegunle, Lagos, with her parents and sibling. They live in a rented one-room accommodation, in the notorious Dustbin Estate, and share amenities, such as toilet, bathroom and kitchen, with their neighbours. Her home environment is unclean, and she often falls ill.
Precious is intelligent and loves school. She is in JSS3; top in her class of 20, and her favourite subject is Basic Science. She wants to be a Micro-Biologist when she grows up. Her hobbies are travelling, singing, dancing and playing ‘Ludo’. She is also in the Choir Club, and has potential in sports and hair-making.
Precious’ father works as a Trader, while her mother sells drinks. Their joint income is often not enough to take care of the needs of their children. Her education is at risk, and she needs a sponsor to support her through Secondary School and beyond.
Naomi
Naomi is a 9 year old girl from Delta State. She lives in Ajegunle, Lagos, with her mother. She is from a broken home and her father has more than one wife. They live in a rented one-room shack and share a toilet with their neighbours. They have no kitchen and irregular power supply. Though her home environment is dirty and unsafe, Naomi is rarely ill.
Naomi is in Primary 5 and is top in a class of 26 pupils. Her favourite subjects are English, Religious Studies and Health Education. She is intelligent and wants to be an Accountant when she grows up. Her hobbies are dancing, reading and writing.
Naomi’s mother sells food for a living and is the only one who takes care of her needs. Her education is at risk, as her mother is struggling to cope. Please sponsor Naomi with her studies to grant her opportunities in life.
Mariam
Mariam is a 9 year old girl from Kwara state. She lives in Ikota, Lagos, with her parents, four siblings and grandmother. They live in a two-room accommodation, which is family owned, within a slum environment. Despite the slum, she rarely falls ill.
Mariam is in Primary 5, and is an above average student. Her favourite subjects are English Language and Mathematics. She can read, write, spell, speak and solve arithmetic very well. She wants to be a Doctor when she grows up. Her hobbies are swimming, music and reading. She also has great potential in Ballet dance, bead-making, home-making and Information Technology.
Her mother sells snacks in a school, while her father charges vehicle batteries. They are managing their joint resources to maintain the family. However, they are struggling to keep Mariam in her private school. Please sponsor Mariam and help her continue to get good education despite disadvantage.
Christopher
Christopher is a 13 year old boy from Akwa-Ibom state. He lives in Ikota, Lagos, with his parents and three siblings. The family lives in a self-contained accommodation. His home environment is not safe as it is usually flooded, dirty and not easily accessible. His father works as a Driver, while his mother is a Teacher.
Christopher is intelligent and in SS1 class. His favourite subjects are English Language and Computer Studies. His hobbies are drawing, reading and playing football. He wants to be a Mechanical Engineer when he grows up, but also has potential in I.T and Sports. He needs a sponsor to help him go further in his education.
ChiChi
ChiChi is a 9 year old girl from Ebonyi state. She lives Ikota, Lagos, with her parents and three siblings. They live in a ‘room and parlour’ accommodation, within a slum environment, which is not safe as it is usually flooded, insecure, dirty and not easily accessible. Chichi is rarely ill though.
Her father suffers from visual impairment and is seeking operations to restore his sight. One of his arms was also dislocated after a work-related accident. He now earns a meager wage in Admin, since he is not able to perform his former duties as a Dispatch Rider. Her mother is a teacher.
ChiChi is bright and loves attending school. She is in Primary 4 and her favourite subjects are English Literacy and Social Studies. Her hobbies are travelling, reading and drawing, and she also has great potential in singing, hair-making, knitting and athletics. She wants to be a Nurse when she grows up.
Chioma
Chioma is an 11 year old girl from Ogun state. She lives in Jakande, Lagos, with her parents, four siblings. Chioma and her family share a 3-room, family-owned, accommodation with an uncle and his family. Her home environment is safe, but usually flooded and dirty during the rainy season. Chioma rarely falls ill.
Chioma is in JSS2, and is a very intelligent child who loves attending school. Her favourite subjects are English Language, Mathematics and Social Studies, and her favorite sports activities are running and Soccer. Her hobbies are singing, writing, dancing and reading, she also has great potential in modeling, speech presentation and drawing. She wants to be a Broadcaster when she grows up.
Her father is retired, while mother sells provisions for a living. Her mother is main person providing for the needs of the family. Chioma’s education is at risk due to poverty and she needs a sponsor.
Caroline
Caroline is a 13 year old girl from Akwa-Ibom state. She lives in Ikota, Lagos, with her mother and relatives. Caroline is an only child and her mother has never married. They live in a single-room accommodation, within a slum environment, which is not safe as it is usually flooded, insecure, dirty and not easily accessible. There is also no proper ventilation. However, Caroline hardly gets sick.
Caroline is a bright child. She is in SS 1 class and enjoys English Language and Business Studies the most. She also loves long jump and running. Her hobbies are singing and reading, and she also has great potential in hair-making. She wants to be an Accountant when she grows up.
Her mother is employed as a Tailor, but earns a very meager salary. With this, she looks after Caroline and her grandma, but it is not often enough. Caroline’s father doesn’t assist financially. Can you sponsor Caroline?
Damilola
Damilola is an 11 year old girl from Ondo state. She lives in Ajegunle, Lagos, with her parents and two siblings. They live in a single room accommodation within a slum environment, which is not safe as it is usually flooded, insecure, dirty and not easily accessible. There is also no proper ventilation. As a result, she often gets ill.
Damilola is a very intelligent and smart child, who loves schooling. She is in SS1 and her favourite subjects are English Language and Mathematics. She is a top student and wants to be an Accountant when she grows up. Her hobbies are dancing, singing and reading, and she also has great potential in bead-making and tailoring.
Her mother is a Tailor, while her father works as a Technical Operator. Her parents make effort to provide for the needs of their family, but they are still struggling. Your support will make the difference.
